What is Core Wellness?

My Core Wellness is about reconnecting with yourself and finding the balance between physical, mental and emotional health. It's learning to dig deeper to create lasting, life long change. To go deep you have to get to the heart of the matter, the core.

The Core in My Core Wellness has to do with your foundation, the deep inner you that makes you who you are and is comprised of your learned behaviors, beliefs, personality, passions and more. From that core comes three crucial legs of overall health that we call physical, mental and emotional health. Like a bar stool chair, these legs support and nourish who you are, your core, and are equal contributors to your happiness and wellness. When one or more legs is out of balance we see that manifest as unhappiness, feelings of instability and lack of fulfillment, and even illness. The challenge in life is to learn how to connect to your core and to bring balance to physical, mental and emotional health. We call this the Art of Balance.

The Art of Balance

In our current society there is a big push to work on physical health, but mental and emotional health become a side thought, if acknowledged at all. We're working to change that pattern of thought because we believe that you are more than just the physical. Every body is truly different and has very unique needs that go way beyond just the physical aspect of health. The key to true health and wellness is through acknowledging that our mind and emotions DO matter and that they're just as important as the physical. The Art of Balance is about nourishing and working on physical, mental and emotional health so that all three work together in unison. We strive to create this balance through an environment that empowers and nourishes all three parts as equal contributors to what makes us unique.

What do we consider physical, versus mental, versus emotional? Here are a few examples to start:

Physical

Physical health is about everything that is tangible and what you can physically do with your body:

  • exercise
  • nutrition
  • sleep
  • energy
  • stretching
  • deep breathing

Mental

Mental health has to do with your mind and the thoughts that pertain to yourself and the world around you:

  • what you're thinking
  • meditation
  • cultivating positive thinking
  • intention setting
  • stress
  • learned behaviors

Emotional

Emotional health is how you feel and how that relates to yourself and the world around you:

  • conscious emotions
  • subconscious emotions
  • your relationship with yourself
  • creating healthy, loving relationships
  • building joy

Uniquely You

We are each uniquely different and what works for one person may not work for another. Our purpose is to help our clients tune into what is best for them and to create a healthy, happy and stable foundation to build their vision of wellness from the inside out. We want to cultivate an environment that celebrates individuality and the beauty of how our individual selves and bodies work. We call this Bio-Individuality.

Finding Purpose

What is my purpose? This question is one of the most powerful questions we'll ask ourselves. Irregardless of our religious, spiritual or agnostic beliefs we all search for purpose and meaning in our lives. Purpose may come as being a parent, a lover, a friend, a teacher or a variety of other roles. For us, finding your purpose begins with asking yourself why.

For example: Why are you here? Why are you pursing your purpose? Why now?

When the answers come, so will your compass which will guide you along your journey. As navigators, we want to help you learn how to use that compass to reach the goals and dreams you want to achieve. We call that your True North.

Connecting All of the Pieces

Connecting all of the pieces (Balance, You and Purpose) is where we, the navigators, come in. Sometimes it is hard to see the forest from the trees. We want to help you navigate along your journey and to help be the encouragement you need when you need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and look at life as a bigger picture. You worked hard to be where you are today and we admire that. We always say, "The first step in any journey, is the decision to take one." Are you ready to take the next step towards a healthier, happier you?

Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life.
